Legacy Academy Two-Day Option
We are excited to offer a “home-centered, school-supported” option. The aim of this program is to help families who want to be more involved in education at home or who are looking for more support and structure to their homeschooling efforts. The program runs Tuesday & Thursday from 9 a.m. - 2 p.m.

Parent's Role (Home Centered)

Keep the primary role of teaching at home. Provide a consistent home learning environment and maintain accountability for learning.

Decide how much bookwork (e.g. worksheets and additional activities) should be completed at home to complement the lessons at school. Legacy will provide suggested activity or lesson numbers corresponding to each week. Parents will select and purchase a core curriculum, but following Legacy's curriculum is strongly recommended.

Assist student in preparing for school learning fairs and projects. ​

Legacy's Role (School Supported):

Provide instruction of weekly key concepts in language arts, math, history, and science. Please note Legacy does NOT focus on completing book-work with 2-day students but emphasizes enrichment, activities, and collaborative learning based on book concepts.​

Provide weekly scope and sequence of learning outcomes and suggested resources for families to use at home learning.

Provide feedback to parents on student learning progress based on class obvservation.

Host school events, learning fairs, field trips, and class parties for both full-time and part-time students.

We have designed the schedule to prioritize 2-day students being present for the core subjects. This means some electives such as art and PE will be held on other days. However, art, music, and movement are part of what we do in all our subjects. If electives are important to you, we recommend also participating in the Family School on Fridays.
