There are a number of strategies to help with educational expenses. Some families co-register in Idaho distance education schools (e.g. Overture Learning) that provide reimbursement for qualified educational expenses related to home education. While this does not cover Legacy tuition, it can be used for annual book fees, student supplies, and a range of home educational expenses.

 

Families should also be aware that an Idaho 529 education savings account (IDEAL) now permits funds to be used for private k-12 tuition. This offers several tax advantages.
